Operation Write Home is a wonderful organization that sends blank handmade cards for our servicemen AND women who are deployed far from home to write and send back home on...what a gift! Please check out their website for a way that you can give by donating your own gift of talent or a monetary donation (if feasible).
Here's my contribution to this year's hop:
On Memorial Day (or the weekend prior, as the case may be) it's important to know that this day is not just about BBQ's and the day off, but the sacrifices that our military make on our behalf each and every day. We live in a home of the free, because of the brave.

Delightful! That ribbon is so soft - and I like that its mostly red and white with just a little blue, for a really feminine patriotic card. Beautiful!
